Multi Grammy winner Tim OBrien has an been essential part of the folk, bluegrass, and Americana scenes for the past fifty years. The multi-instrumentalist and singer songwriter first emerged in the 1980s with Bluegrass Hall of Famers Hot Rize. Kathy Mattea brought his songs Walk the Way the Wind Blows and Untold Stories to the Country top ten in the late 80s, and his songs have since been covered by artists like Alison Krauss, the Seldom Scene, Garth Brooks, and the Dixie Chicks.

Tonights show, a twenty-song overview of his long career, launches the new Tim OBrien Songbook, with accompanists Shad Cobb (fiddle) and Nathaniel Smith (cello), and other special guests. Multi-Grammy Award winner Tim OBrien is one of the most influential and beloved voices in American roots music, with a career spanning more than five decades across folk, bluegrass, and Americana. This special Bluegrass on 3rd performance offers an intimate, twenty-song journey through Tims remarkable career and celebrates the release of the Tim OBrien Songbook.

He will be joined by longtime collaborators Shad Cobb (fiddle) and Nathaniel Smith (cello), along with special guests, for a uniquely personal and unforgettable evening of music at 3rd & Lindsley.
