José María Napoleón (born August 18, 1948 at Aguascalientes, Mexico) is a Mexican singer and composer. He arrived from Aguascalientes to Mexico City in 1966. He sang at the OTI Festival in 1977. Singers like José José, Vicente Fernández, Pepe Aguilar, Pedro Fernández, Yuri, Frank Pourcel and Plácido Domingo sang his compositions. . Last fall, José María Napoleón, El Poeta de la Canción, brought his emotional farewell tour to audiences across the United States, uniting generations of fans. From lifelong followers who have cherished his songs for decades to younger listeners discovering his music through their parents and grandparents, each night was a powerful celebration of his enduring legacy. Following an incredible response from fans nationwide, Napoleón will extend his farewell tour to 14 additional cities this year.
The tour will make a Tucson stop at The Linda Ronstadt Music Hall on April 18, 2026.
