Mercers compositions made a significant impact on the Great American Songbook, including songs like Autumn Leaves, Moon River, Skylark Summer Wind and so many more. Mercer was a top writer for Capital Records in the 1950s and 60s and collaborated with several iconic composers such as Henry Mancini, Johnny Mandael and Herold Arlen just to name a few.
