A concert, often known informally as a gig, show, or the Italian concerto, is a live performance of music in front of an audience. The performance may be carried by a single musician, in which case it is sometimes called a recital, or by a musical ensemble such as an orchestra, choir, or band. Concerts are held in a wide variety of settings and sizes, spanning from venues such as private houses and small nightclubs to mid-sized concert halls and finally to large arenas and stadiums, as well as outdoor venues such as amphitheatres and parks. Indoor concerts held in the largest venues are sometimes called arena concerts or amphitheatre concerts.

A multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and storyteller based in Charleston, West Virginia, Young blends alternative country, bluegrass, and folk into a sound he calls "Holler Poetry," raw and emotionally driven, steeped in mountain tradition and personal history.
Though he grew up playing drums, Young taught himself fiddle during a hospital stay after a rock climbing accident, asking for his grandfather's heirloom fiddle and finding not just rehabilitation but transformation. His debut album Della, named after his daughter, introduced listeners to his intimate, narrative-driven songwriting. His sophomore album Eddy expands that vision into a timeless tragic love story grounded in modern emotion.
