Christian McBride

Christian McBride is an American jazz bassist, bandleader, composer. He has appeared on more than 400 recordings as a sideman, and is an eleven-time Grammy Award winner.

About This Event

Christian McBride is an eight-time GRAMMY-winning bassist, composer, and bandleader. He is the Artistic Director of the historic Newport Jazz Festival, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), the TD James Moody Jazz Festival, and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. McBride is also a respected educator and advocate for youth, and serves as Artistic Director of Jazz House KiDS and the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Summer Sessions.

In addition to artistic directing and consistent touring with his ensembles, he hosts NPRs Jazz Night in America and The Lowdown: Conversations With Christian on SiriusXM. Whether behind the bass or away from it, Christian McBride is always part of the music. In Ursa Major, he is joined by four rising young master instrumentalists including saxophonist Nicole Glover, guitarist Ely Perlman, pianist Mike King, and drummer Savannah Harris.

All GA sections (Main Floor GA & Miles Davis Mezzanine) will be seated by host and are first come, first served (other than where a reserved sign is posted to table). We offer dinner/show packages, featuring a wide selection of food in a buffet setting, served in the Boathouse 400 restaurant on the 2nd floor of the hotel. Dinner is 2 hours prior to showtime In addition to the variety of foods offered, dinner includes: 1 glass of house red or white wine, beer or non-alcoholic beverage, 18% gratuity, 7% state tax and complimentary parking while enjoying dinner and show, all for $95 per person.
