They are best known for their 2001 single "Wherever You Will Go", which topped the US Billboard Adult Top 40 for 23 weeks—making it the second longest running number one in the chart's history—and was later named the number-one song of the 2000s on the chart, preceding the release of the band's debut studio album, Camino Palmero (2001). Though commercially successfyl, critical responses to both the song and album were generally negative.
