There are multiple artists named Portraits: 1) Portraits is a large ensemble group with an evolving cast of musicians led by Jefre Cantu-Ledesma. Portraits' self-titled album was released in 2012 on Important Records, featuring members of Tarentel, Barn Owl and Date Palms, among others. 2) Portraits is a post-hardcore sextet from the North of England. 3) Portraits is a metalcore band from Brisbane, Australia formed in late 2011 with members from Anchors to Atlantis and Atlas. 4) Portraits is a 4-piece rock band from Swansea, South Wales. They have a new six-track EP available from 21st of November. 5) Portraits is a hardcore/metalcore quintet from Nanuet, New York. 6) Portraits is a freshly reshaped metalcore outfit from Espoo, Finland. Inspired by the greatest names of the metalcore scene, the band incorporates various aspects from diverse riffage to catchy choruses. Their finished debut full-length, At My Darkest has been in the making for several years, truly capturing the essence of the band's sound and the story within the songs. At My Darkest forms a tale of forgiveness, consisting of stories spread throughout a journey of self-awareness and guilt. When the only escape seems to lie somewhere deep within, you start to shape your reflection in a new manner. Realizing you cannot cast aside your darker self, you're forced to accept this co-existence and begin the struggle towards peace as equals. The band's early material showcases their love of building on rhythmic syncopation and crafting pleasant melodies. .
