MAILPUP is the name of Salvia Hunden's [24 years of age. goes by she/her] musical project spanning speedcore, gabber, and happy hardcore influences. MAILPUP is a Norrbottenspets USPS mail carrier from a family of maildogs; she inherited her job from family tradition. However, she wants nothing more than to make music. Unhappy with her boring job, she decked out her mail truck to be a studio on the inside, and produces speedy bangers in her downtime to make up for the uneventful days that pass. In 2019, Salvia had an idea for a secret music alias, one where she could stray from her more serious alias sixwing and have fun with. She took great inspiration from Canadian electronic artist Em Essex's work surrounding Halley Labs, a music label that contains dozens of aliases, vastly varying in genre. While Salvia had already come up with the base idea for her alias, she had almost no idea what she wanted the character itself to be beyond it being furry-related. However, this all changed when she was turning at an intersection one day. To her right, she noticed a mail truck "blasting loud electronic music", and that's when everything came to her. On that day, MAILPUP was born. Later on, MAILPUP's pronouns were changed to she/her due to Salvia herself being misgendered, with MAILPUP's appearance being changed soon after to suit a more feminine look. .
