His older sister was the late singer and actress Jenni Rivera. In 2019, he was one of the coaches for the first season of the Mexican singing competition show, La Voz on TV Azteca after being acquired from Televisa after seven seasons. He was a contestant at La Casa De Los Famosos 4 and at La Casa De los Famosos All Stars.
