About ISTA

ISTA is a psych-rock band based in Brooklyn, NY, United States. Formed in 2019 by West Coast transplants Rex Costello and Oliver Hart, their sound has been described as a "bi-coastal clash of energies" that blends "the communal, free-spirited vibrations of California's surfing and psychedelic culture with the electric, gritty, and fast-paced atmosphere of New York City". On stage, ISTA is a seven-piece comprising Costello, Hart, Evan Eubanks, Diona West, Theadora Curtis, Chloe Golding and Erica Butts. Their debut single was 'Western Sun' (2020). The collective put out two full-length albums thus far: Ista (2023) and In Sound to All (2026). .
