There are at least four artists with the name Elijah: 1. Elijah Nathan Borders (born 21 March 1998), better known mononymously as elijah, is an American singer. 2. Elijah Salomon (born 20 August 1986 in Zürich, Switzerland) is a Swiss reggae singer. Born and raised in Zürich, he creates a fresh new sound with deep basses, kinky offbeats, a sweet rhythmical singjay voice and good caribbean vibes. Since 2004 he brings together different european cultures, chanting in local Zurich-patois, Italian and English. About three years ago he hooked up with the backing band “The Dubby Conquerors” and they haven’t looked back ever since. In 2007 they recorded their first album “beweg di” (make a move) at the Scrucialists OneDrop Studios, which was released in October 2007. The album's first single “Gib mer meh” received airplay on several national Swiss radio stations and stayed in heavy-rotation for months. The following two singles/videoclips were also heavily promoted on national tv and radio stations. But the true core of his success is a live show so energetic and fully vibes-loaded, that - no matter where or when - you just can't resists dancing. Since the album release in Oct 2007, Elijah is constantly on tour, not only successfully crossing the language barrier between the French and the German part of Switzerland, but also playing shows all over central Europe. 3. Elijah is an artist, producer, lecturer and DJ based in London, UK. He is the co-founder of the grime and hip-hop label Butterz, and is also well-known for Yellow Squares, a project started during lockdown on Instagram, based around his ideas, thoughts and advice on creativity and being an artist. He has released a book, an album and a series of lectures based on this, titled Close the App, Make the Ting. 4. Elijah Canlas (born 16 August 2000 in Manila, Philippines) is a Filipino artist under the mononym, elijah. He is also an award-winning actor known for his roles in the web series Gameboys, the film Kalel, 15, and the television show Senior High. In 2023, he started collaborating with Kindred Productions for his debut single, kilala kita, released under Island Records Philippines. He recently released his debut album, SOUTH II under Island Records Philippines, which features 10 tracks that he wrote (except ‘bituin’ which was written by his late brother, JM Canlas, and he co-wrote with his brother, Jerom Canlas) His other singles such as kilala kita, asar talo, loved song, and u wanna be? ft.
