About Conjurer
Conjurer are a 4-piece post-metal band from The Midlands, UK. Formed in 2015, they gained notoriety within their local scene with supports alongside Hang the Bastard, Celeste, The Sword and Gurt before branching out across the UK performing alongside Primitive Man, The Great Old Ones, Oathbreaker OHHMS, Bossk and many more before signing to Holy Roar Records early 2016 for the release of their debut EP on July 1st, 2016. The band play a mixture of styles fusing the slow crawling heaviness of sludge metal, the intensity of death metal, the grandiose reverie of post-metal, the atmosphere of black metal and the all out aggression of raw metalcore plus the technicality of mathcore. Influences include, but aren't limited to: Converge, Armed For Apocalypse, Yob, Mastodon, Code Orange, Gojira, Oathbreaker, Down, Black Sabbath and Trap Them. It's generally agreed that they don't sound anything like these bands. Conjurer released the album Unself on the 24th October 2025. The release comes just before their appearance at the Damnation Festival in November 2025. The Razor's Edge website has given the album a very positive review: "The band have stripped back so much to allow clarity, and the result is a dynamic sound that will pierce people’s hearts, minds and souls, and this album will rightfully be lauded for the work of art it is. .
